Rush Condyle Pin

The Rush Condyle Pin expands the Rush Pin technic to include some previously difficult cases involving the friable osteoporotic condyles in the elderly. The problem has been the migration of the head of the pin into the bone with loss of fixation. This has been overcome by the modification of the head of the pin into a broader flatter surface. This "loop head" pin is particularly useful in supracondylar fractures of the femur and condyles of the tibia. The Rush Condyle Pin can be used in treating fractures in conjunction with metal implants including plates, hip prosthesis and total knee replacement.
